IT Security Architect Lead

**Job Title:** IT Security Architect
The T-Net British Columbia team is seeking an IT Security Architect to design secure IT infrastructure solutions that align with our strategic business objectives and rigorous compliance demands.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive and secure architecture for our IT and cloud environments, ensuring a secure, resilient, and scalable framework.
- Identify and assess security risks associated with the IT and cloud infrastructure. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Ensure that all IT and cloud solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO, GDPR, NIST, etc.
- Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, IT development, and operations teams to integrate security practices into the IT infrastructure and cloud deployments.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in IT and cloud security technologies and practices.
- Collaborate with software development teams to embed security best practices in application design and deployment processes.
- Oversee the mapping of data flows within the organization, identifying critical data and ensuring it is securely managed and protected.
**Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Architect and/or Cloud Security Architect.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and services, particularly with providers such as AWS, Azure.
- Expertise in network security, system security, and cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a particular emphasis on working effectively with enterprise architecture teams and software developers.
- Ability to understand and articulate the impact of security decisions on the broader business and IT environment.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, building strong relationships with enterprise architects, developers, and other key stakeholders.
- Expert in Visio and technical documentation.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.
