We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Amico Affiliates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health and safety program that meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster a culture of health and safety within the organization, and work collaboratively with employees, contractors, and clients to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental health and safety, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Certifications: Certified JHSC (Joint Health and Safety Committee) member, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and clients.
