Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the Thunder Bay sawmill. As an Industrial Millwright, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.
About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance. You will work closely with our production and maintenance teams to identify and resolve issues, improve efficiency, and meet productivity targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Apply your expertise in mechanical repair and maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Collaborate with production and maintenance personnel to develop and implement process improvements
- Use computerized maintenance management software to track work orders, update equipment records, and optimize system performance
- Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations and meet goals
