Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Technical Inspector to join our team at Babcock Canada. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings and Quality Assurance (QA) documentation, inspecting incoming material, and confirming conformity to purchase requirements and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review technical drawings and QA documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Inspect incoming material and confirm conformity to purchase requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify and assess used parts, components, and assemblies to determine fitness for repair.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to investigate, track, and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Update company database programs, recording inspection results and documenting non-conformance issues.
- Report on and effectively communicate material availability and conformance issues to stakeholders.
- Assist warehouse personnel in inventory management as required.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of technical inspection experience.
- Technical background in either the marine or aviation sectors.
- Ability to review and interpret national and international standards and apply these requirements during product assessments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Desirable: experience performing material QA inspections, knowledge of Quality Control or QA in manufacturing or maintenance of mechanical, electronic, submarine, or industrial equipment, accredited technical college diploma, and certification through the American Society of Quality as a Certified Quality Inspector/Technician.
