Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Optical Associate to join our team at our Ottawa - Riverside clinic. As an Optical Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering world-class service to our patients, providing expert advice on eyewear choices, and ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Offer expert advice on eyewear choices, including frame selection and lens options.
- Interpret optical prescriptions and perform frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear.
- Perform repairs and adjustments to returning patients' eyewear.
- Place contact lens orders and assist with fittings.
- Communicate with patients in person, by phone, and by email.
- Manage appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and billing and payments.
- Warmly greet patients as they enter the clinic.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards using charisma and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, preferably retail environment.
- Previous optical experience is considered an asset.
- Passionate about customer service.
- A high level of comfort using technology and computers.
- A great communicator who can provide exceptional patient care.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
