Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Shehnai Restaurant. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and Quick Books.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
