About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at ALMAC MOTOR HOTEL. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our hotel's physical assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and maintain a clean appearance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair to ensure the hotel's appearance is maintained.
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate your independence and ability to work effectively with minimal guidance.
  • Supervise other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems as needed.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment when necessary.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • 40 hours per week of work.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
