Assembly Line Sewing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Line Sewing Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position with competitive wages and benefits.
Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience
Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for performing assembly construction tasks using industrial sewing equipment. You will work on building firefighter turnout suits that meet our customer's requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating a sewing machine, single, double, or multi-needle serger
- Sewing gear in accordance with job specifications (job cards)
- Preparing the machine by changing needles and thread, oiling and changing bobbin, and mounting sewing machine attachments like needles, threads, pattern plates or cutting blades, and adjusting machine guides according to the job specifications
- Meeting delivery deadlines by working with the team to ensure products are made correctly and with good quality and meet production goals set by supervisor
- Understanding quality requirements and how this position affects quality: on time delivery, material tracking, and meeting customer requirements
- Maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping in the sewing area
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience working with industrial sewing equipment
- Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work well with a team
- Good attendance record
- Self-motivated and organized

Working Conditions:
- Standing, sitting, walking, bending as needed
- Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to lbs.
Must be legally able to work in Canada and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit.
