About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced security professional to join our team as a Senior Security Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a complex railway environment, supporting the Chief Safety and Security Officer in creating and updating documents, managing customer expectations, and ensuring compliance with APTA standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Safety and Security Organization for security certification elements;
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to collect information, assess risk analysis, create checklists, and ensure all controls are properly implemented;
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and utilizing security assessments, accident/injury trend analyses, security performance data, and input from other groups to identify potential security deficiencies and corrective actions;
  • Managing the Threats and Vulnerability Analysis (TVRA) as technical writer and verifier;
  • Attending technical discussions with customers to review document submittals and manage customer observations;
  • Keeping updated the Project Security Log, Technical Security Reports, Systems Security Management Plan, and Security Management Report;
  • Supporting Safety and Security Organization in management of Independent Safety Assessor;
  • Creating and keeping updated the checklist using IBM DOORS to assure all security requirements are properly implemented;
  • Managing Verification and Validation of the implementation evidence to support the certification process throughout the design and commissioning stages.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in security, with at least 3 years in Rail Transit projects;
  • Local experience is considered an asset;
  • A Bachelor's degree in Security, Engineering, or Technical/Physical Science;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, independence, and ability to manage priorities;
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong self-motivated work ethic;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access);
  • Proficiency in DOORS;
  • Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work on multiple demands simultaneously;
  • Familiarity with FTA Safety and Security Certification process.
