Job Title: Child Caregiver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Caregiver to join our team at Brian Boucher. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Client focus, efficiency, and flexibility

Work Environment: Our work environment is non-smoking and scent-free. We offer optional accommodation at no charge on a live-in basis.

Security and Safety: We require a child welfare check, criminal record check, drug test, and vulnerable sector check.

Transportation: Public transportation is available.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This position requires handling heavy loads, physically demanding work, and repetitive tasks.

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Personal Suitability: We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and judgement.
