Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is secure and properly stowed.
  • Operate and Drive Vehicles: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Roadside Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed, ensuring that vehicles are safe to operate.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads as needed.
Requirements
  • AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Be familiar with driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Health Benefits: Enjoy access to dental and healthcare plans.
  • Work Terms: Work a permanent schedule with 35-40 hours per week.
