Job Title: Driver (DOT - CDL)

Job Summary:

Fastenal is seeking a skilled Driver (DOT - CDL) to join our transportation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering products from our distribution centers to branches and customer on-site locations. This role requires a safe and efficient driver who can operate a tractor trailer or straight truck, unload freight at each stop, and maintain a clean work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver products to branches and customer on-site locations in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Unload freight at each stop using a pallet jack or forklift
  • Interact with shipping and receiving departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain a clean work environment within the equipment
  • Inspect and report defects or issues in equipment
  • Comply with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations
  • Participate in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety, and sustainability objectives

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess or be currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License
  • Possess a current Health Card or have the ability to obtain one
  • Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement or have the ability to obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only)
  • Meet Fastenal driving record requirements
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the DOT/MTO regulations in regards to a CDL Driver
  • Maintain DOT/MTO regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service
  • Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines
  • Willingness to cross international and provincial borders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior driving work experience
  • Prior experience operating a forklift
