Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure workers have the necessary skills to complete tasks
- Prepare bids and proposals for new projects
- Prepare production and other reports to track project progress
- Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
- Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure projects are completed on time
- Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
- Recommend personnel actions and make decisions on staffing
- Requisition materials and supplies as needed
- Supervise workers and projects to ensure they are completed to a high standard
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of communication
- 30 to 40 hours of work per week
