Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Aliaxis. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing forward-thinking manufacturing strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement, cost reduction, and waste elimination using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers to drive collective success and achieve business objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and creativity within the team.
- Innovate cutting-edge manufacturing systems integration, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 technologies to drive business growth and improvement.
- Ensure seamless integration of disparate systems for enhanced productivity and agility.
- Establish stringent quality control measures employing Six Sigma methodologies to achieve zero defects.
- Champion sustainability practices, energy efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives to minimize the company's environmental footprint.
- Responsible for run preparation, PSSR meetings, and post-run evaluations to ensure smooth production processes.
- Apply Six Sigma principles for process optimization and defect reduction, utilizing data analysis for continual improvement.
- Stay updated on international manufacturing standards, ensuring adherence to ISO, Six Sigma, and other quality frameworks.
- Develop process parameter windows and standards to ensure consistency and quality across production lines.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or another related Technical field is required.
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA is preferred.
- LEAN Six Sigma green belt certification or equivalent is an asset.
- Experience in the extrusion industry is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in tool design, fabrication, machining, and welding methods.
- Must have a solid understanding of Project Management, Lean Principles & Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in data analytics, predictive modeling, and change leadership.

Working Conditions
- Employee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards in the work environment, such as moving machinery, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/bucket lift/other.
- Work in office environment with long periods of sitting.
Travel
Willing to travel within the Extrusion Plant network.
