**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Work Focused Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mental health background and experience in providing psychotherapy, particularly CBT. As an independent contractor, you will work with clients in their geographical area to provide weekly one-on-one therapy sessions following standardized procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**
  1. 1. Conduct weekly one-on-one therapy sessions using behavioral activation strategies, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and problem-solving oriented therapies to improve clients' functioning and optimize participation and performance in life and work.

  1. 2. Build an understanding of the factors influencing client recovery and identify medical and non-medical issues contributing to decreased work capacity.

  1. 3. Develop effective treatment plans to improve clients' ability to manage issues causing decreased work capacity and assist them in resuming work function.

  1. 4. Communicate regularly with Homewood Health clinical staff via standardized reporting and weekly written documentation.


**Required Skills and Qualifications**
A Minimum of:
  1. 1. A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

  1. 2. Registration and authorization to practice psychotherapy in your province of practice.

  1. 3. 3 to 5 years or more of return to work focused clinical counseling experience.

  1. 4. Access to your own office space to see clients in the province of Nova Scotia.

  1. 5. Proficiency and experience using CBT techniques.

  1. 6. Experience in RTW counseling for clients on short-term/ long-term disability, and/or WSIB claims, including RTW facilitation and/or work focused treatment.

  1. 7. Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 or as otherwise determined by Homewood Health.

  1. 8. Proficiency to provide counseling services in either English or French; proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.

  1. 9. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
