Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

RJ & SONS LOGISTICS LTD is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and maintain log books that detail all repairs and checks performed.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Work collaboratively with a two-person team or convoy to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel cross-border, extended periods, and overnight.
  • Basic security clearance, criminal record check, driving record check, drug test, and medical exam.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, traveling to various locations, and spending extended periods away from home. You must be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
