About the Role
Verve Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at our Credit River residence. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver medication and treatments in accordance with current approved standards of care and policies and procedures.
- Provide direct resident care, taking into account the physical, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of the individual.
- Support residents' optimal level of functioning in their activities of daily living, while respecting their rights and choices.
- Assist in monitoring the outcome of specific interventions regularly and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Participate in the development of department goals and objectives, promoting team building and achieving customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum of grade 12 education required.
- Has obtained certificate from an approved PSW program, and an approved UCP pharmacology training.
- Certified in Emergency First Aid Level 1, and CPR.
- Previous experience as a Health Care Aide/PSW/RSA working with seniors is considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language, nurturing excellent human relations with residents, families, and other team members.
