Job Title: General Construction Labourer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit General Construction Labourer to join our team at BEM Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Assist in demolishing buildings

Work Environment:

  • Work will be conducted on-site at various locations, including high-rise building construction sites and construction sites
  • Work may involve working at heights, in noisy, dangerous, dusty, cold/refrigerated, and hot environments

Requirements:

  • Experience in construction or a related field is an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure and in physically demanding environments
  • Manual dexterity, handling heavy loads, hand-eye coordination, sound discrimination, and ability to sit
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Own steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
