Job Title: Baker

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Michigan Diner. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory treats.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Schedule staff and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
  • Fast-paced environment and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:

Our bakery is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a variety of equipment and ingredients. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
