About the Role:

K M School is seeking a skilled Music Educator to join our team. As a Music Educator, you will be responsible for teaching music to students in a private school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay up-to-date on best practices in music education.
  • Discuss student progress with parents and school officials.
  • Evaluate and document student progress.
  • Participate in educational conferences and teacher training workshops.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • Provide tutoring assistance to students.
  • Supervise teaching assistants and train student teachers.
  • Assign and correct homework.
  • Develop course content.
  • Identify individual learning needs of students.
  • Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental, and social development.
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
  • Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum.
  • Prepare, administer, and correct tests.
  • Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips.

  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Support for Mature Workers:

  • Provides workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers.

Supports for Visible Minorities:

  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
