Job Summary:

The Community Peace Officer - Enforcement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with municipal bylaws, provincial acts, and legislation. This role will involve enforcing bylaws, investigating complaints, and providing education to the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce municipal bylaws and provincial statutes
  • Investigate complaints and finalize reports
  • Provide education to the public on municipal bylaws and bylaw services
  • Work with other departments and agencies to achieve common goals
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with four (4) years of direct law enforcement experience
  • Community Peace Officer appointment through the Alberta Solicitor General
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate with AED
  • Valid Class Five (5) Operator's License

Working Conditions:

The Community Peace Officer - Enforcement Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, often in outdoor conditions. The incumbent must be able to work a rotating shift, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
