Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, maintain employee benefits records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, optimize financial performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Environment: Office environment with occasional travel to client sites.
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and data entry. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
