As a Security Specialist at our esteemed establishment, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees. This includes monitoring and patrolling hotel facilities, reporting suspicious activities or conditions to management, and controlling access to employee entrances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Security Office, Employee Entrance, and Patrol operations as outlined in the Standards of Performance Manual for Security Specialists
  • Thoroughly understand all Hotel Emergency Response Procedures and respond accordingly to all situations
  • Maintain visitor sign-in/out logs and issue temporary passes to authorized individuals
  • Inspect packages entering and exiting through facility employee entrances, denying access to unauthorized materials
  • Verify that all materials leaving the facility are accompanied by a completed, signed package removal pass, confiscating and turning over to management any unauthorized items
  • Maintain signature lists of Management personnel authorized to sign package removal passes
  • Patrol front-of-house, back-of-house, and exterior hotel areas, reporting any safety or security hazards, unacceptable behavior, or suspicious persons to Security Supervisor for direction and resolution
  • Prepare maintenance requests for safety-related maintenance requirements identified
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, radio communications, and Fire Control Computers
  • Document security-related issues and assistance provided in appropriate Security reports
  • Log, store, and return lost and found items according to hotel policies
  • Enforce hotel rules and regulations as per the Employee Manual and hotel policy
  • Monitor compliance with hotel key control policies among employees
  • Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Respond to guest and employee incidents, gathering information and securing areas if necessary to preserve evidence
  • Complete daily reports in accordance with the Safety Security Manual

  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a Security department at a similar quality property (preferred)
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of hotel operations
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is around $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
