Job Description

The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the entire material handling and shipping/receiving process. This includes coordinating the movement of all trucks, ensuring a smooth continuous flow of goods, and maximizing labor utilization within the shipping department.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and knowledge of automotive MRP systems and ERP systems. They must also understand the working relationship between Inventory Control and MRP. Additionally, they should have excellent planning, interpersonal/leadership, team building, and organizational skills.

A key responsibility will be to ensure that all shipments are ready for pickup and to prepare weekly OT Time Sheet Summaries for payroll. The candidate will also work closely with Purchasing to negotiate expedited costs with carriers.

This role requires a post-secondary education in Materials Management or Supply Chain and 3 years of WMS experience. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. They must also hold a valid G driver's license and have a good understanding of production and shipping dynamics within a manufacturing environment.
