We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Technologist to join our team at Queen's University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, preparing and interpreting engineering design, drawings, and specifications, and supervising, monitoring, and inspecting mechanical installations and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Test machines and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Inspect products at various stages of processing to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Research and report on developments in specialized fields such as medicine, science, and technology.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education in a related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam CAD/CAM and 3D graphic software.
  • Experience with welding and equipment operation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
