We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at CB Canada. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct mental status exams and other assessments as required.
- Engage with patients and families to promote recovery and well-being.
- Participate in clinical discussions, team meetings, and patient/family conferences.
- Facilitate groups and provide education to patients and families.
- Licensed as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
- BScN and CPMHN(C) preferred.
- 2+ years recent experience in mental health nursing preferred.
- Mental Health Nursing certificate preferred.
- 1 year in Charge Nurse role preferred.
- CPR/Basic rescuer certification.
- Venipuncture skills required.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA), and community mental health resources.
- Knowledge of documentation standards (CNO), and privacy legislation (PHIPPA).
- Knowledge of CBT/DBT and CPT.
- Experience assisting in program development is an asset.
- Experience with group facilitation is required.
- Skilled in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, including PTSD, OCD, suicide prevention, and the management of personality disorders.
- Current knowledge and experience specific to emergency mental health and crisis intervention.
- Proven excellence in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability and skill in working independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritize and function effectively in a demanding and challenging environment.
- Proven ability to assume leadership.
- Exceptional customer service.
