Key Responsibilities- Provide Nursing Care: Deliver nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and well-being.
- Assess and Plan Care: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Implement and Evaluate Care: Implement care plans and evaluate their effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the safe and efficient management of medications and supplies, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve shared goals.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent, and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Skills and Qualifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, basic computer proficiency, valid First Aid and CPR Certificate, and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes influencing the operation of the Nursing Home and nursing department.
- Clearances and Certifications: Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Clear Criminal Record check.
