We are seeking a skilled Plant Worker to join our team at HireTalent. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe handling of waste at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration.
Stage waste on the conveyor system or properly stack waste for scanning in the Biotrack system.
Scan waste into the Biotrack system for accurate recordkeeping.
Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
Decontaminate vehicles and cargo-carrying portions, reload assigned reusable tubs, and ensure the cargo-carrying portion of the vehicle is free of liquid on the floor.
Address housekeeping issues, such as spills and debris, immediately.
Assist in other areas of the plant operation as directed.
Requirements:
One year of related experience or training, or a combination of both, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact.
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
Knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, such as a forklift.
Additional specifics about job requirements and project details: safety shoes required, approved to start while BGC is pending.
