Job Title: Construction Trades Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team at Tojiron Masonry Inc. As a key member of our crew, you will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced tradespeople.
  • Assist medical examiners and other personnel as needed.
  • Participate in the demolition of buildings and structures.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Operate and maintain equipment used in construction, such as cranes and forklifts.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
Work Environment:

As a Construction Trades Helper, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor conditions, often in dusty and dangerous situations.

Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads (over 45 kg or 100 lbs) as required.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and priorities.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
