Senior Security Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Systems Specialist to join our team at Paladin Technologies. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining complex electronic security systems for our diverse range of clients across various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintenance of integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarms
  • Troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software of our integrated systems
  • Collaboration with manufacturers' technical support teams to resolve system issues
  • Providing high levels of customer service and support
  • Training clients on proper system usage and responding to technical inquiries
  • Completing detailed and accurate paperwork and assisting with as-built documentation
  • Adhering to Paladin's Quality and Safety program
  • Working effectively with the service team and operations to meet project requirements
  • Participating in an on-call rotation and working flexible hours as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Service Technician in the security, electronics, telecommunications, or IT industry
  • Proven experience with complex physical security systems, such as Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, Milestone, etc.
  • Post-secondary training in electronics or equivalent
  • Experience with IP networks, low-voltage electronics, power and communications, access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, and client-server security applications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong command of the English language and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Awareness of productivity and profitability of the work carried out
  • Willingsness and capability to learn and develop
  • Able to pass varying levels of security clearance
  • Available to complete out-of-town work on an ad hoc basis
