About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Intact Lab. As a key member of our platform support team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our AI Platform, which consists of AWS services on the Cloud as well as on-prem infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a platform admin role on the AI platform, including AWS or other Cloud-based services.
  • Develop and deploy solutions for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Create and execute Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines.
  • Continuously improve automation by collaborating with different teams.
  • Develop Proof of Concept to validate ideas.
What You'll Do
  • Solve complex technical defects and conduct code reviews.
  • Guide and influence development teams on DevOps solutions and practices.
  • Direct and perform root cause analysis of critical business and production platform issues.
  • Lead development of requirements and evaluate risk of architecture on overall solution.
  • Capacity and cost planning for hardware, software, and storage.
  • Direct and review design artifacts and proof-of-concept around platforms for large, complex initiatives.
  • Act as SME on platforms to provide guidance and recommendations to software development teams.
  • Recommend technologies/tools to facilitate integrations between product stacks.
  • Interpret security policies and ensure platform designs conform with security guidelines.
  • Implement high availability solutions with multi-tiered recoverability.
  • Problem management to look at possibilities to iterate on the solution and minimize impacts.
What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience.
  • Excellent experience of modern Cloud technologies, such as AWS, S3, Lambda.
  • Excellent experience of DevOps, IaC/CICD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, ELK, Ansible.
  • Knowledge of machine learning cycle is an asset.
  • A self-starter, who can drive and follow through initiatives from beginning to end.
  • Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No work experience in Canada required, but you must have authorization to work in Canada.
