Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to lead our logistics team in North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage import, export, local transport, warehousing, and all logistics-related activities.
  • Oversee customs-related activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize material flow and related transactions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to develop successful ship plans.
  • Establish expectations and drive improvement in department performance.
  • Develop and maintain standard collating and shipping processes.
  • Organize daily pick-up and delivery schedules for truck drivers.
  • Meet financial objectives by preparing annual budgets and analyzing variances.
  • Identify opportunities for technology enhancements.
  • Oversee import/export shipments and coordinate with project managers, sales, and clients.
  • Negotiate freight and brokerage rates.
  • Analyze logistics processes to determine cost-effective transportation methods.
  • Implement best practices in inventory management and warehouse procedures.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Experience as a Warehouse/Logistics Director or Manager preferred.
  • Supply Chain Management or Logistics environment preferred.
  • Managing a team of 10-20 employees preferred.
  • North American Import/Export experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work extra hours when needed.
  • Bilingualism (English/Spanish) is an asset.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
