Ph.D. Opportunity in Air Pollution Monitoring

The successful applicant will be expected to conduct research in one of two main areas:
1. **Low-Cost Sensing Devices**: Develop novel sensing technologies for detecting and quantifying airborne pollutants and/or greenhouse gases, including the investigation of their pollution characteristics, emission rates, and impact on ambient air quality;
2. **N2O Emission Monitoring and Modeling from Agriculture Fields**: Investigate N2O emissions from agriculture fields, with a focus on developing models to predict and mitigate these emissions.
The ideal candidate should hold an MS degree in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other suitable fields and have experience in air dispersion modeling, sampling and chemical analysis, electronic device fabrication, or machine learning.
