Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator/Senior Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator/Senior Estimator, you will be involved in:

  • Providing estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Preparing Construction Cost Estimate reports at all stages of design for commercial, institutional, and residential projects throughout Canada.
  • Managing estimating and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Ensuring that cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work is managed effectively.
  • Participating in Value engineering, LEED analysis, and Life Cycle costing.
  • Providing input into value engineering, negotiating and approving final accounts.
  • Maintaining liaison with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Preparing Mechanical/Electrical cost estimates for all asset classes and at all levels of design related to real estate throughout Canada.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and reporting such opportunities to the appropriate line manager and utilizing the marketing database.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrating solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Being proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.
  • Having good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and being a team player.
  • Having good knowledge of all methods of construction procurement.
  • Having experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Having experience with key aspects of business development.
  • Having good knowledge and experience gained within several industry sectors.

Education/Experience:

  • Having experience preparing electrical cost estimates on complex construction projects.
  • Having experience managing electrical cost or estimating on data center, high-tech, manufacturing, commercial real estate, or relatable construction projects.
  • Having construction experience with electrical systems.
  • Having experience with all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) a plus.
