We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Regent Park YMCA Child Care in Orillia. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children, while promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to children, including toileting, first aid, and medication administration
  • Engage with children in a group setting, ensuring their safety and supervision at all times
  • Plan and implement play-based learning activities in accordance with the YMCA Curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and volunteers to ensure a positive and inclusive environment
  • Support children with exceptional behaviors and additional needs, promoting their inclusion and well-being
  • Adhere to work schedules, ensuring program ratios are maintained and providing adequate notice for scheduling changes
Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Up-to-date immunizations
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, with split-shifts and varying hours
  • Passion for working with children and providing quality play-based learning
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg, and participate in physical activities
