Job Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC.
The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy services to enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes, working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to clients, including assessments, planning, and implementation of services.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Develop and maintain records of client care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and promotion of occupational therapy services.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Rehabilitation Sciences from a recognized program.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
Skills and Abilities
- Broad knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a client and family-centered model of care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
