We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team at Analog Devices. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to the design, development, and architecture of advanced products.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, with experience in translating product requirements into software and hardware architecture. They will also have a good understanding of real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and software development practices.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Collaborating with the digital team to design and architect SoC solutions
  • Working with SoC architects to improve the SoC design from a firmware and system perspective
  • Mentoring and growing a small group of software developers
  • Proposing and designing hardware-assisted solutions to improve firmware and software development efficiency
  • Contributing to the design and development of embedded software for ASIC products
  • Developing microcode and kernel drivers for SoC products
  • Defining and developing bootloader, system initialization, and startup sequences

In addition to the above responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor or Master of Electrical or Computer Engineering with 15+ years of firmware development experience. They will also have experience with developing firmware and software for embedded products, as well as a good understanding of RISC architecture and communication interfaces and protocols.


Preferred qualifications include strong technical leadership skills, experience with silicon design and development, and exposure to developing bootloader and kernel drivers.
