About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Materials Technology Specialist to join our team at GHD. As a key member of our Materials Technology team, you will be responsible for conducting quality assurance and quality control materials testing services on-site for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completion of Quality Assurance and Quality Control materials testing services on-site for various construction projects.
  • Conducting compaction testing during site grading and backfilling operations, including sampling soil and aggregates for laboratory analysis.
  • Concrete and asphalt sampling and testing for various building and infrastructure projects.
  • Support field staff in investigative work including concrete coring, tensile bond testing, dowel testing, test pit investigations, and site data collection.

Requirements

  • Possession of a degree in civil, geotechnical, or engineering program, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
