Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Highway Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at Forbes Bros. Group of Companies in Surrey, BC.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing traffic control in work zones, ensuring a safe working environment for drivers, pedestrians, and workers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directing drivers, pedestrians, and workers to safe routes around road construction sites.
  • Assisting with set up and maintenance of project signage and barricades.
  • Protecting workers by keeping work space free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards.
  • Setting up and providing traffic control specifications.
  • Reviewing traffic management plans.
  • Training other site workers about traffic and equipment safety.
Requirements
  • Two (2) + years of experience in traffic control.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Lane Closure Technician.
  • Hold a valid TCP certification.
  • Ability to learn new skills and take on additional tasks as required.
  • Possess a Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
