Job Title: System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team at Alteo Inc. in Montreal. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the smooth operation and evolution of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and monitor advanced technological solutions to improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our existing IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain a robust security framework to protect our company against IT risks, ensuring infrastructure compliance.
  • Automate routine tasks to improve the efficiency of IT operations and reduce the risk of human error, while optimizing system resources for maximum performance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems before they affect business operations.
  • Serve as a technical reference for the IT team, sharing knowledge, guiding, and training team members on best practices and new technologies.
  • Establish a diagnosis based on incidents experienced by users.
  • Provide support to users and manage IT requests.
Requirements:
  • AEC/DEC in IT or equivalent.
  • 5-10+ years' experience in a systems administration role.
  • Expertise in operating systems (Windows Server), virtualization (VMware), cloud computing (Azure), networking, IT security, and automation.
  • Available for remote support 24-7 (rotating 1 week/3, with bonus).
  • Be able to travel occasionally to our warehouses in Montreal and Boucherville.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CCNA, CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to manage projects and priorities.
  • Team player, positive attitude, with good communication skills.
