Teaching Opportunity

The Department of Music at MacEwan University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Piano. This position is part of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications.

The successful candidate will have a national profile as a keyboard instrumentalist with a demonstrable record of performances, live and recorded. They will have proven experience and mastery in a broad range of styles.

Primary responsibilities will include classroom teaching in the candidate's area(s) of expertise, piano masterclasses, ensemble directing, and private lesson instruction. Piano duties include student advising, recruiting, overseeing courses, curricular development and planning, adjudicating auditions and juried recitals, and organizing concerts and other events associated with the piano area.

Secondary teaching areas will be required based on the successful candidate's teaching expertise, professional experience, and departmental needs.
