Job Title: Shift Quality Control Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Shift Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join our team at Tolko Industries. As a key player in ensuring our production standards are met and maintained, you will utilize your analytical skills to contribute to process improvements and experimental trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical and physical testing on incoming raw materials and finished product according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all testing documentation is completed promptly.
  • Properly operate and maintain laboratory equipment and process instrumentation.
  • Work closely with production teams to communicate quality standards and address concerns.
  • Offload bulk chemicals and operate forklifts.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, process instrumentation, and work areas.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in laboratory operations within an industrial manufacturing environment in a quality assurance/control function is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
  • Post-secondary education in an engineering, science, or technical related discipline is a strong asset.
  • Mechanically inclined with demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Punctual and detail-oriented, with accurate record-keeping and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in using testing and measuring equipment.
  • Capable of adhering to standard operating procedures and following precise work instructions.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in standard computer software, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
