Job Title: APTPUO - LIN3742 Sociolinguistique - Hiver 2025

Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to teach a course on sociolinguistics at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in linguistics and sociolinguistics, with a focus on language variation, change, and discourse structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a course on sociolinguistics to undergraduate students
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers language variation, change, and discourse structure
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the linguistics program at the University of Ottawa

Requirements:

Doctoral degree in linguistics or a related field with a specialization in sociolinguistics

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching linguistics courses at the undergraduate level

Strong research background in sociolinguistics
