About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at J.Y Tiling LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the installation of ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Adhesive Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels, guaranteeing a strong bond between the tile and the surface.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place, apply pressure to affix them to the base, and align and straighten tiles to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Obstacle Navigation: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, demonstrating attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Instruct apprentices, supervise other workers, and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
  • Quality Control: Pack grout into joints between tiles, remove excess grout, and remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Design and Estimation: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, estimate costs and materials, and mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
  • Installation and Finishing: Install tile strips, cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, and build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
