Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Millwright to join our team at Canfor. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our sawmill machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on mill machinery and equipment, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, and chains.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, and implement safe and reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
- Manage your time effectively to assess and prioritize maintenance tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Apply your knowledge, skills, and experience to troubleshoot issues, boost equipment reliability, and implement safe and reliable fixes.
- Have great attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Accountability for assisting in a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors on site.
Requirements:
- Red Seal Certification as an Industrial Mechanic.
- Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- High degree of urgency.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
