About the Role

The Move Coordinator Supervisor (MCS) will play a critical role in leading and managing a team of volunteer Move Coordinators (MCs). This position involves overseeing daily communication and planning, providing guidance during shifts, and ensuring all post-move procedures are completed accurately.

Duties also include assigning moves to an appropriately trained and available MC, coordinating moves as needed, and monitoring each move communication and planning progress through MoveHub, Google Sheets, and Zoom chat channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead/co-lead and manage a team of 10-15 Move Coordinator (MC) volunteers.
  • Train new move coordinators and provide close supervision particularly over the first few moves.
  • Approve move documents, coordinate volunteers' and clients' schedules, and ensure all post-move procedures are completed accurately.
  • Chair regular team meetings, foster team engagement, and collaborate on volunteer engagement initiatives.
Requirements

A successful candidate must have experience leading and managing teams, strong skills in training and developing team members, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational and time-management skills.

Additionally, candidates should be able to think on their feet, solve problems, and make informed decisions in fast-paced or changing environments.
