Dynamic Data Analyst Role in Financial Resource Optimization

RBC is committed to delivering trusted advice and services to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We're seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Financial Resource Optimization team, based at RBC CENTRE in TORONTO, Canada.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with large data sets. As a Data Analyst, you'll work closely with our Product/Modeling team to design and build algorithms for improving data quality, conduct data analysis to determine data quality on various data feeds, and develop agile metrics to contribute to oversight of Software BAU (business as usual) team oversight.

You'll also investigate business processes, interview stakeholders, analyze systems, and document findings to improve key business processes. Additionally, you'll help cultivate re-usability of Product Knowledge by developing a program to preserve and organize knowledge, executing on the strategy, and writing user adoption documents.

Requirements
  • CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT A CANADIAN POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTION WITH A FOCUS ON STEM OR BUSINESS
  • EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL AND HIGHLY DEVELOPED COMMUNICATION SKILLS (VERBAL AND WRITTEN)
  • CREATIVE AND ANALYTICAL THINKER WHO IS SELF-DRIVEN AND CAPABLE OF WORKING IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT
  • LEADERSHIP ACUMEN AND A PASSION TO APPLY IT IN A DYNAMIC BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
  • EXPERIENCE ANALYZING AND MANIPULATING LARGE DATA SETS USING SQL, HIVE, OR OTHER QUERYING TOOLS
  • KNOWLEDGE OF TABLEAU OR ANY OTHER VISUALIZATION SOFTWARE
