Job Title: Renowned Powerline Project Director

We are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Project Manager/Engineer to lead critical transmission line projects in Ontario. Reporting directly to Senior PM, this role involves managing the project execution, overseeing finances, and engaging with key stakeholders.

About the Role

This is a high-level leadership position that requires a solid background in power engineering, financial project management, and hands-on experience with high-voltage transmission lines. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of long-distance transmission projects, strong financial management skills, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end execution of large-scale transmission line projects, including Longwood x Lakeshore (~135km, 500kV), North Shore Link (~100km, 230kV), and Northeast Powerline (~200km, 500kV).
  • Oversight of project budgets, financial tracking, and reporting.
  • Facilitating week-to-week interaction and direct communication with client and other key stakeholders.
  • Cordinating with engineering teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Conducting project risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
Requirements:
  • 7–10 years of project management experience in transmission and distribution (T&D).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred).
  • PMP certification or PE license is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial management skills within a project management discipline.
  • Proven track record of managing high-voltage transmission line projects (230kV – 500kV).
