About the Role:

New Flyer is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in North America, with a strong presence in the industry. As a key player, we offer a comprehensive product line under the Xcelsior and Xcelsior CHARGE brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete design tasks and projects from concept to implementation in production, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop designs that meet customer specifications, technical summaries, and contract documents, while ensuring manufacturability and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, and Engineering, to ensure seamless design-to-manufacturing processes.
  • Interact with vendors and customers to resolve design-related issues, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Provide engineering support to various departments, as required, to ensure design integrity and quality.

Requirements:

  • Junior – College Grad (1-5 yrs experience) / Intermediate - College Grad with 5-10 years experience, registered CTTAM / Senior – College Grad with a minimum of 10+ years experience, registered w/CTTAM.
  • Manufacturing & Assembly experience is an asset.
  • Strong CAD/Unigraphics Drafting skills.
