Job Summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staffing Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, providing information and services to employees, and coordinating the selection and examination process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Recruitment
    • Identify and analyze staffing requirements to ensure adequate staffing levels
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent
    • Coordinate the selection and examination process, including interviews and assessments
    • Notify applicants of results and prepare job offers
  • Employee Relations
    • Provide information and services to employees, including employee assistance and counseling
    • Collect and screen applicants, and contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
    • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
    • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Training and Development
    • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
    • Recruit and hire staff, and provide staff training
    • Develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in staffing and recruitment, employee relations, or related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Knowledge of human resources software and systems
